Description
Simple kit that helps explain students the principle of reflection and refraction. Using mirrors, lenses, acrylic prism set and a ray box, light can be reflected and refracted in different ways. The acrylic prism set includes a triangular, half-round, double convex and rectangular prism and two double concave prisms all packed in a wooden storage box. Description
The basic set-up of the colorimeter is: LED light source: Produces polychromatic light over the entire visible region, 45 Broad spectrum filter: The colorwheel has nine different filters. The filter employed is selected by wavelength. Each filter will produce monochromatic light at a specified peak wavelength with a bandpass of 20 mm. The filters enable the user to perform tests from 400 to 680 nm. Cuvette Holder: It holds the inserted cuvette during testing. It is imperative the cuvette be consistently oriented in the holder. Round cells usually have orientation markings to correctly position the cuvette. Detector: A silicon photo diode is used as the detector. The photo detector current will change as a function of light energy. Motorised Gyroscope Apparatus
The apparatus consists of a rotor mounted in bearings. This rotor is free to rotate about
(i) Its own axis i.e. axis of spin.
(ii) Axis of precession.
(iii) Axis of gyroscopic couple.
The rotor is connected to the variable speed motor. The weight of the motor is balanced by another weight, which is on either side of the rotor. By putting weights on the weight platform torque can be supplied to rotor, which is also called gyroscopic couple.

DESCRIPTION:
Apparatus consist of an angle of size 1” x 1” x 1/8” or in equivalent metric units of length 80cm is tied as a cantilever beam. The beam is fixed at one end such that the rotation of 450 intervals can be given and clamped such that the principal axis of its cross-section may be inclined at any angle with the horizontal and vertical planes. Also arrangement is provided to apply vertical load at the free end of the cantilever and to measure horizontal and vertical deflection of the free end.
