Linear Expansion Apparatus
Consisting of a metal rod, 500mm in length and 4.5mm diameter, enclosed in a well lagged, nickle plated brass tube with three tubules for steam, inlet, outlet and thermometer.
The metal rod to be studied is supported in the steam jacket by detachable conical cups situated at each end of the tube.
The apparatus is carried on a heavy gauge channel base at one end of which is an adjusting screw.
At the opposite end is a micrometer screw reading to 0.01mm for measuring the expansion.
Supplied complete with copper, brass & iron rods but without thermometer.

Apparatus consists of a steel bar which is used to make the different curved members Viz. circle, semicircle with straight arm, a quadrant of a circle and quadrant of a circle with straight arm. The bottom ends of the members are fixed to the base. Under the application of load at free end, its horizontal and vertical deflection can be measured with the help of dial gauges. A dial gauge with 25mm travel (with a magnetic base) is supplied with the apparatus. Apparatus to be supplied should be complete with a supporting stand and a set of weights.

The Set-up is designed to study the performance of Multi Stage Centrifugal Pump. The Set-up consists of a Multi Stage Centrifugal Pump coupled with DC motor & drive, supply tank, measuring tank & pipe fittings for closed loop water circulation. There are 2 separate pumps connected to DC Motor and drive and can be connected in series and parallel to stimulate different combinations. Pressure and Vacuum Gauge are connected on delivery and suction side of each pump for the purpose of measurement. Swinging Field Dynamometer arrangement for direct torque measurement using dial type spring balance is made for individual pump. Thermal Conductivity Of Liquid
Thermal conductivity of is an important engineering property. The apparatus uses guarded hot plate method for determining thermal conductivity. It consists of hot plate i.e. an electrical heater sandwiched between two plates.
