Description
Highly polished hooper dia 2". 16x25mm Completed with suitable motor to work on 220V AC 50Hz single phase. Fitted with 4 steel hammers fixed to a disc of dia. 1½" through which passes a shaft being revolved at the speed of approximately 3000 RPM. Hammers are enclosed in a drum. The lower portion can be fitted with different mesh screens (sieves)-coarse, medium or fine supplied with the equipment.
Thermal Conductivity Of Insulating Powder
The apparatus consists of an insulating powder, which is enclosed in a cavity of two concentric spheres. The inner space of the inner sphere contains the mica heater. Input to the heater can be adjusted by the dimmerstat. The tappings on the surfaces of the inner sphere and outer sphere are used to find out the temperature difference between the spheres. This enables to find out the conductivity of powder.

The perimeter is an instrument for accurate charting of the field of vision. It consists of. A vertical stand on which a metallic arc is pivoted. It also bear a circular black disc to read the meridian in which the arc in shape of a semicircle with radius 330 mm. Its rotating in any direction and fix at any position with a tightening screw. The arc is graduated from 0 to 90 with a movable test object which is a white color spot of size 10mm diameter painted on a circular disc it can be moved with arc. Air Core Solenoid
Description
Air Core Solenoid helps investigate the magnetic field of a long coil. It can also used with the Current Balance as an accessory to measure the force on a conductor in a magnetic field. The solenoid has coils wound on a plastic tube with approximately 575 turns of copper wire. It can carry a current of 5 A continuously or 10 A intermittently.

Theramal Conductivity Of Insulating Slabs
The apparatus consists of a slab assembly. The main Heater and a radial guard heater are sandwiched between copper plates. The specimen in the form of slabs of equal thickness are placed on either sides of heaters and cooling plates through which water is circulated are on the other Sides of the specimen. The radial guard heater ensures all heat of the main heater to pass axially through the specimens which is collected by cooling plates. By knowing the temperatures and Heat input, thermal conductivity of specimen can be calculated. The test set up is enclosed in an enclosure with insulation inside to provide undisturbed Surroundings. The design style of the apparatus is similar to as recommended in INDIAN standard. The difference is in sizes.
