Kipps Apparatus
Kipp's Apparatus, made of Polyethylene has three main portions.
The top portion is fitted with thistle funnel and a bulb structure through which dilute acid can be poured, which reacts with a metal sulphide in the base of the apparatus.
H.S gas then evolved collects in the fitted with a self-lubricating PTFE plug.
The base is provided with a residual outlet fitted with a cap for easy cleaning.

Description
Porcelain Bottom Crucible with porous disc permanently formed into walls. Porcelain Crucible, which we offer, is featured by stable porosity and rate of flow. These Porcelain Crucibles are made available with very fine (1.2 micron), fine (5 micron) and medium (15 micron) pore diameters discs. Maximum operating temperatures for Porcelain Bottom Crucible range from 900Â °C to 1200Â °C depending upon ceramic composition selected. Blood collection and storage is done is special tubes which allow the preservation of the blood sample over long periods.
These tubes can be made of glass or plastic and the caps of these vials are coloured to indicate the additives in them.
Some of the additives are anticoagulants such as EDTA, sodium citrate or heparin.
Other substances include preservatives. The containers containing coagulants are capped with gold, red or orange caps.
The ones containing anti-coagulants are green, which contain heparin, purple or lavender indicates ones which contain EDTA, grey capped tubes contain sodium fluoride or oxalate. Blood collection tubes (also called as vacutainers) are extensively used in hospitals, medical centres and diagnostic centres.
In biological labs, it is used in experiments like haemolysis etc.
