DESCRIPTION:-
The Set-up consists of two sided clear fabrication. Water is fed through a nozzle and discharged vertically to strike a target carried on a stem, which extends through the cover. A weight carrier is mounted on the upper end of the stem. The dead weight of the moving parts is counter balanced by a compression spring. The vertical force exerted on the target plate is measured by adding the weights supplied to the weight pan until the mark on the weight pan corresponds with the level gauge. ‘Gravity’ By Free Fall Apparatus
Consists of an electromagnet housed in a plastic moulded case with connections for an external timer, with a heavy steel sphere, and a platform unit.
For determination of 'g' (the gravitational acceleration) by free fall method.
The apparatus consists of an electromagnet which is housed in a plastic moulded case with 4 mm socket connections provided to energize the magnet and another pair of sockets for connection to a timer in use.
To perform the experiment, an electromagnet is energized and a metal sphere is attached.
As soon as the power to the electromagnet is switched off the sphere falls and the unit activates the timer.
When the sphere hits the platform, which is connected to a micro switch, the timer stops and the time of fall can be determined.

The clear circular acrylic tank has a circular scale graduated on the white base of the tank, making it easy to measure angles. Adjust the pivot-arm mounted laser to any angle along its full 360° range and measure the angle of reflection or refraction. Rotate the laser and observe first a reflected ray, then both a reflected and refracted ray, and finally just a refracted ray. Leveling screws on the tank’s base make leveling quick and easy.
