Metabolic Cage for Rat
Description
Animal waste is directed through a collection funnel and onto a linear diffuser guide. The diffuser guide allows solid matter to travel down the top ridges of a 50% incline, passing over a urine port, and into a fecal collection vessel. Liquid waste flows along grooves down the inclined diffuser guide, passing through the urine port, and into a urine collection vessel. A urine deflector prevents excess urine from splashing and contaminating fecal specimen. Separate urine and feces samples are collected in two separate tubes.Features

Description
Transparent Anaerobic Culture Jar of 3.5.lit. capacity which is made of Polycarbonate. The lid of the jar is made of Aluminum pressure die Casting fitted with Pressure Valve, Vacuum Valve, Safety Valve & compound Pressure cum vacuum gauge, three finger aluminum clamp and sealing "O" ring. This is recommended only where inside air of jar is removed thru vacuum pump and CO2 is filled in the jar thru CO2 gas cylinder to generate anaerobic condition in the jar. Also supplied with plain aluminum pressure die casted lid which can be fitted when readymade gas packs are used to generate the anaerobic conditions inside the jar. The apparatus consists of a storage water tank, embraced by evaporator coil of the cooling unit, cooling cycle comprises of a hermetically sealed compressor, air-cooled condenser, a capillary tube as expansion device and an evaporator cell. Water Cooling Tower Apparatus
The apparatus consists of a forced draught, counter flow type-cooling tower. A blower supplies cooling air. Air enters the tower at the bottom. Hot water is, obtained from a geyser. Hot water is sprayed over the mesh packing through the nozzles and it flows downwards. Evaporative cooling of water occurs due to the current of air and water gets cooled. This student can study the operation of cooling tower and calculate the energy balance.
