Earth, Neutral And Live Board Demonstration
Description
This apparatus is an effective demonstration of how the earth wire and fuse act together to protect both the user and the appliance. When the appliance is connected correctly and the LEDs in the appliance will illuminate to show the appliance is working. A fault is then demonstrated by swapping the live wire from inside the appliance to the case to show either the fuse melts (protecting the user and appliance) or in the case of no earth wire, the LEDs illuminate to indicate the passage of current through the person to ground. The fuse is easily visible and can be seen to ‘blow’ when a fault occurs.The unit is supplied with 10 m of fuse wire and full instructions. A 12 V DC power supply is required. Connections are made via 4 mm shrouded sockets.

Description
The basic set-up of the colorimeter is: LED light source: Produces polychromatic light over the entire visible region, 45 Broad spectrum filter: The colorwheel has nine different filters. The filter employed is selected by wavelength. Each filter will produce monochromatic light at a specified peak wavelength with a bandpass of 20 mm. The filters enable the user to perform tests from 400 to 680 nm. Cuvette Holder: It holds the inserted cuvette during testing. It is imperative the cuvette be consistently oriented in the holder. This model uses the same basic assembly as the motor, but is mounted on a baseplate 230 x 90 mm approx. which also carries a hand-drive pulley 120mm. diameter coupled to the smaller dynamo pulley by a rubber belt to give a step-up ration. Ohm’s Law Appartus
Description
To demonstrate Ohms Law. Consisting of a wooden enclosure with milliammeter, voltmeter, rheostat, push key and terminal posts. Requires an external battery (not supplied) and a suitable resistance (not supplied). Resistance can be calculated using Ohm’s Law by noting current and voltage. A rheostat is provided to control current flow. Circuit diagram is provided on the panel with instructions.

The Set-up consists of a ½ bend and elbow, a sudden expansion & sudden contraction fitting from 15 mm to 25 mm, ball valve and gate valve. Pressure tapings are provided at inlet and outlet of these fittings under test. A differential manometer fitted in the line gives pressure loss of individual fitting. Present Set-up is self-contained water re-circulating unit, provided with a sump tank and a centrifugal pump etc. Flow control valve and by-pass valve are fitted in water line to conduct the experiment on different flow rates. Flow rate of water is measured with the help of measuring tank and stop watch.EXPERIMENTS:-
