Slip Creep Measurement Apparatus
The apparatus consists of a variable speed D.C. Motor, Driving pulley and Driven pulley of equal diameter. The pulleys are mounted on input shaft (Motor shaft) and output shaft. The driven pulley can slide on the base with bearing block to change initial tension in belt. Brake drum is mounted on output shaft helps to measure power output. The motor speed is varied by dimmerstat. A two channel RPM Indicator is provided to measure speeds of driven and driving pullies respectively.

Instrumentation Amplifier
Instrumentation amplifier is a switched gain precision operation amplifier. This is used for precise and accurate, low noise differential signal acquisition. 4mm sockets are used for the input signal. It can be interfaced with a wide range of sensors. It can take small voltage changes from a sensor and make those changes large enough to be measured using CRO. It is not able to drive a low impedance load such as a loudspeaker or relay. The output can be read on CRO. Digital multimeter may also be used to read the output. With switched gain of 5 to 1000, it can handle signal inputs over a very wide range making it suitable for almost all applications.

An anti-lock braking system (ABS) is a safety system that prevents the wheels on a motor vehicle from locking up (or ceasing to rotate) while braking. A rotating road wheel allows the driver to maintain steering control under heavy braking by preventing a skid and allowing the wheel to continue interacting tractively with the road surface as directed by driver steering inputs. ABS offers improved vehicle control and decreases stopping distances on dry and especially slippery surfaces for many drivers, but on loose surfaces like gravel and snow-on-pavement it can slightly increase braking distance, while still improving vehicle control. Stopping a car in a hurry on a slippery road can be very challenging. Anti-lock braking systems (ABS) take a lot of the challenge out of this sometimes nerve-wracking event. In fact, on slippery surfaces, even professional drivers can’t stop as quickly without ABS as an average driver can with ABS.
‘Gravity’ By Free Fall Apparatus
Consists of an electromagnet housed in a plastic moulded case with connections for an external timer, with a heavy steel sphere, and a platform unit.
For determination of 'g' (the gravitational acceleration) by free fall method.
The apparatus consists of an electromagnet which is housed in a plastic moulded case with 4 mm socket connections provided to energize the magnet and another pair of sockets for connection to a timer in use.
To perform the experiment, an electromagnet is energized and a metal sphere is attached.
As soon as the power to the electromagnet is switched off the sphere falls and the unit activates the timer.
When the sphere hits the platform, which is connected to a micro switch, the timer stops and the time of fall can be determined.
