The HVDC Transmission due to its advantages, like long distance transmission, interconnect different power systems (like 50Hz and 60Hz), more energy transmits than AC, less losses, make it essential for the students to study & understand the operation of HVDC. Vi Micro have introduced a trainer for this purpose “HVDC Transmission Line Simulator”

• It consists of a 3Φ, 415V Variable AC source, 1.5 KVA step up transformer, a Multifunction Meter (To measure various electrical parameters of • Generating side or sending end) & a Miniature Circuit Breaker. • Earth Fault Relay is provided for protection against Earth Fault. • The module is covered with metallic enclosure and sticker represents the prime operation of the module. The apparatus consists of a storage water tank, embraced by evaporator coil of the cooling unit, cooling cycle comprises of a hermetically sealed compressor, air-cooled condenser, a capillary tube as expansion device and an evaporator cell. The stainless steel water tank is provided with insulation on air Sides and a door are provided at the top. Cold water can be taken out from a top provided and inlet water supply is controlled by a bail-operated top. Various measurements provided enable students to determine the theoretical and actual COP, power consumption, actual cooling capacity refrigerant flow and compressor volumetric efficiency of compressor.

Anaerobic Culture Jar
Description
Transparent Anaerobic Culture Jar of 3.5.lit. capacity which is made of Polycarbonate. The lid of the jar is made of Aluminum pressure die Casting fitted with Pressure Valve, Vacuum Valve, Safety Valve & compound Pressure cum vacuum gauge, three finger aluminum clamp and sealing "O" ring. This is recommended only where inside air of jar is removed thru vacuum pump and CO2 is filled in the jar thru CO2 gas cylinder to generate anaerobic condition in the jar. Also supplied with plain aluminum pressure die casted lid which can be fitted when readymade gas packs are used to generate the anaerobic conditions inside the jar. When readymade gas packs are used, there is no need of lid fitted with dial gauge etc., for extra life of equipment.
