Burner Bunsen-Heavy Base
Description
Comprises of heavier casted base giving the stability to the burner. Total weight of the burner is about 350 g. Nickel plated brass burner tube with rotatable air regulator & cylindrical riffled connector, mounted on casted base. Burner tube 12.5 mm dia. base 75 mm dia. connector 10 mm o.d. For use with LPG / Butane gas.
Emitting Diode (LED’s)
Bridge rectifier is designed with four LEDs internally arranged in bridge pattern fitted inside a plastic moulded case. Two LED’s are red and two LED’s are green. This device is used to demonstrate the functioning of a bridge rectifier, i.e., to convert alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC). Two yellow sockets are used for AC input. Two sockets, one red and one black, are used for DC output. For the easy understanding of the internal circuitry, the circuit diagram is printed on the box.

Natural Convection Apparatus
The unit consists of a vertical brass pipe heated by a cartridge heater inside it. The pipe looses heat to atmosphere by natural convection. It is fitted in an enclosure to provide undisturbed natural convection currents. Thermocouples are attached on the pipe to measure local temperatures. Heater input is measured on voltmeter and ammeter. Thus students can determine overall heat transfer coefficient and local transfer coefficients in natural convection at various heat transfer rates.

The Set-up consists of a Gear Pump having a pair of meshed gears coupled with electrical motor, supply tank, measuring tank & pipe fittings for closed loop oil circulation.
