Karl Fisher Titrimeter
Description
Auto Karl Fischer Titrimeter – 761 is an automatic apparatus designed to carry out Karl Fischer Titrations for accurate determination of moisture content in various samples. The instrument comprises of two units i.e CONTOL UNIT & TITRATION UNIT. The CONTROL UNIT controls the complete automatic titration. On pressing the START button, the titration starts and the KF reagent is added automatically from the burette, through a solenoid valve into the titration vessel. As soon as the end point is reached, the titration is stopped automatically by the Control Unit. It has fully solid state circuitry incorporating advanced IC technology. Titration unit contains the magnetic stirring mechanism and the solenoid valve assembly. The cabinet is designed to serve as a titration stand. Karl Fischer method for determination of moisture content is used in pharmaceutical and drug manufacturing industries, food stuff, sugar, wood, paper and textile industries, petroleum refineries, chemical and fertilizer units etc.

All modern car are now days fitted with anti lock braking system. This trainer helps the students to understand the working of ABS. The trainer consists of the following parts.

An anti-lock braking system (ABS) is a safety system that prevents the wheels on a motor vehicle from locking up (or ceasing to rotate) while braking. A rotating road wheel allows the driver to maintain steering control under heavy braking by preventing a skid and allowing the wheel to continue interacting tractively with the road surface as directed by driver steering inputs. ABS offers improved vehicle control and decreases stopping distances on dry and especially slippery surfaces for many drivers, but on loose surfaces like gravel and snow-on-pavement it can slightly increase braking distance, while still improving vehicle control. Stopping a car in a hurry on a slippery road can be very challenging. Anti-lock braking systems (ABS) take a lot of the challenge out of this sometimes nerve-wracking event. In fact, on slippery surfaces, even professional drivers can’t stop as quickly without ABS as an average driver can with ABS.
Phase Shift Keying Modulation and Demodulation
This Instrument is design to demonstrate the method to transmit signals via. Electromagnetic transmission and to study the Phase Shift Keying Modulation and Demodulation. Whole instrument is placed in plastic moulded box and 2 mm banana plug leads are provided for modulation and demodulation connections.

Demonstration Dynamo
Description
This model uses the same basic assembly as the motor, but is mounted on a baseplate 230 x 90 mm approx. which also carries a hand-drive pulley 120mm. diameter coupled to the smaller dynamo pulley by a rubber belt to give a step-up ration. Electrical output is via a pair of 4mm sockets. The model may also be used as a motor on a 6-8 V D.C. supply.

Ultrasonic Transmitter And Receiver Set
This apparatus consists of a self-contained transmitter and receiver operating in the 40 kHz region. The transmitted wave is modulated at a user controlled variable frequency of about 2 kHz and this is detected by the receiver which amplifies the signal and drives a miniature integral loudspeaker. Both transmitter and receiver are contained in separate plastic enclosures measuring 175 x 100 x 40 mm which contain all the electronics and the 9 V batteries. The receiver has front panel 4mm sockets so that the output can be monitored on an oscilloscope for more quantitative measurements. The system is ideal for demonstrating sound waves above the hearing threshold and reflection properties associated with sonar etc. A special feature is the second transducer on the transmitter which can be switched on when required to produce two coherent sources. By moving the receiver along a line parallel to the two sources interference patterns can be dramatically demonstrated simplifying the Young’s slits experiment or enabling it to be demonstrated using waves other than light. Motorised Gyroscope Apparatus
The apparatus consists of a rotor mounted in bearings. This rotor is free to rotate about
(i) Its own axis i.e. axis of spin.
(ii) Axis of precession.
(iii) Axis of gyroscopic couple.
The rotor is connected to the variable speed motor. The weight of the motor is balanced by another weight, which is on either side of the rotor. By putting weights on the weight platform torque can be supplied to rotor, which is also called gyroscopic couple.
