Description
The apparatus demonstrates the principle of Electromagnetic Induction and helps explain the concept of a transformer. Primary and Secondary coil consist of coils mounted on plastic spools, with 2 binding posts on each coil. You can slide the primary coil inside the secondary coil. Also includes a soft iron core for induction experiments. Primary coil has 480 turns while secondary coil has 3800 turns. Thermocouple Calibration Test Rig
The Unit helps in calibrating given thermocouple for the range 0°C to 100°C. While calibrating, thermocouple is once dipped in ice for 0Q C and then in boiling water for 100°C. This is done till the thermocouple shows the actual temperature of ice (0° C) and boiling wafer (100°C) and a linear calibration is set. A mV meter is provided to know the corresponding voltage.

Anaerobic Culture Jar
Description
Transparent Anaerobic Culture Jar of 3.5.lit. capacity which is made of Polycarbonate. The lid of the jar is made of Aluminum pressure die Casting fitted with Pressure Valve, Vacuum Valve, Safety Valve & compound Pressure cum vacuum gauge, three finger aluminum clamp and sealing "O" ring. This is recommended only where inside air of jar is removed thru vacuum pump and CO2 is filled in the jar thru CO2 gas cylinder to generate anaerobic condition in the jar. Also supplied with plain aluminum pressure die casted lid which can be fitted when readymade gas packs are used to generate the anaerobic conditions inside the jar. When readymade gas packs are used, there is no need of lid fitted with dial gauge etc., for extra life of equipment.
Stefan Boltzmans Apparatus
The Stefan Boltzmann constant is an important constant in heat transfer. The apparatus determines Stefan Boltzmann constant. The apparatus consists of a hemisphere surrounded by hot water. Hot water is obtained from a water-heating tank. When the blackened disc is inserted at the center of hemisphere, heat is transferred into the disc from hemisphere by radiation and its temperature begins to rise, and from temperature raise rate. (It is measured at the intervals of 5 sec.) Stefan Boltzmann constant is determined.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Water heating tank provided with electric immersion heater. Hemisphere made of copper sheet, 200mm. dia. Surrounded water jacket of 250mm. Dia. Test disc made of copper 20mm. dia. provided with thermocouple at the center. Multichannel digital temperature indicator 0-200 C with 0.1C least counts to measure the temperature of hemisphere and disc. Audible buzzer with timer to ring at every 5 seconds. The Permeability cup consists of a cup, seal ring and cover ring.
The seal ring is designed to prevent turning when closing the cover.
The Permeability cup is suitable for testing both self-supporting coating and non-self-supporting coatings. Water-vapor transmission is of interest for high humidity conditions.
The wet cup method is thus the reference method for determining water-vapor transmission, if agreed up on otherwise, other procedures or conditions the dry cup method may be used.
