Ticker Tape Timer 12V
Ticker Tape Timer 12V
These devices use an electromagnet which activates a striker, producing dots via a carbon disk on the ticker tape.
With 4mm terminal sockets.
The dots are produced at a rate of 50 - 60Hz depending on the mains frequency.
There are 6V and 12v units available.
The Ticker Tape Timers are used in the measurement of velocity, acceleration and general timing.

Lathe Tool Dynamometers

Circuit Breaker Demonstration
Description
Investigate the working principle of circuit breaker type fuse with this demonstration model. The apparatus is built on a robust plastic base and includes resistive loads to simulate external wiring circuits. Applications of the thermal response of bimetal strips and also electromagnetism (movement from a solenoid) are clearly demonstrated in this model. When a 12 V DC supply is connected (not supplied) the LED lights to show that current is flowing in the external circuit and the bi-metal strip can be seen to bend as its heater coil raises the temperature. After a few minutes the bending is sufficient to trip the mechanism and the current path is broken. At any current selection a short circuit situation can be initiated by pressing the red button and this produces an immediate response from the solenoid to disconnect the supply.

Reynold S Apparatus
DESCRIPTION:-
The Set-up is designed to verify Reynold’s Apparatus experimentally. The Apparatus consists of a glass tube which one end having bell mouth entrance connected to a water tank. At the other end of the glass tube a cock is provided to vary the rate of flow. Flow rate of water can be measured with the help of Measuring Cylinder and Stop Watch, supplied with the set-up. A capillary tube is introduced centrally in the bell mouth. To this tube dye is fed from a small container, placed at the top of Constant head Tank, through polythene tubing.EXPERIMENTS:-

Wooden double wheeled pulley
Consisting of a wooden double wheel with flat-bottomed grooves, 150 and 50 mm diameter respectively.
The wheel is pivoted on a spindle 10 mm diameter which projects for a distance of 100 mm so that the apparatus may be clamped to a normal retort stand.
The apparatus is supplied complete with two hooks and 6 meters of cord but without masses and stand.
Interference Undercutting
The board shows the demonstration of this phenomenon of Interference and Undercutting. When we rotate the teeth in anticlockwise direction, as the teeth is undercut is gives us a smooth working. When we give a rotation in clockwise direction, we can observe that the rack tip will be resisted by the tooth flank thus giving interference.

Digital Gauss Meter
Digital Gauss meter works on the principle of Hall Effect in semiconductor. When a semiconductor with current flowing in one direction is introduced perpendicular to a magnetic field a voltage is produced at right angles to the current path. The magnitude of this voltage is proportional to the intensity of the magnetic field. This voltage is called Hall Voltage. This Hall voltage is amplified and calibrated as magnetic field.
