Refrigeration Trainer Domestic Type
The unit enables students to study the various parameters affecting the performance of a domestic refrigerator. It consists of refrigeration cycle of domestic refrigerator, it consists a hermetically sealed compressor, air-cooled condenser, capillary tube and a natural convection type evaporator. The evaporator is fitted with a small heater to simulate different load conditions various measurements are provided so that power consumption, COP, theoretical and actual refrigerating effects refrigerant flow rate and effect of door opening on power consumption can be studied and also students can visualize automatic operation of unit using a thermostat.

Description
Two cast metal uprights, height 18 cm, fitted with two nickel plated rods supporting expansion bar of length 38 cm. Expansion bar is fixed to one upright and moves a pointer on the other, when heated With scale reading 0 to 90°, supplied with one each, aluminium, brass and iron expansion bars. The units sensor and electronics are encased in an explosion-proof housing for durability and reliability. Due to Cambridge Viscositys patented technology, only a very small amount of fluid (1 ml) is required to obtain an accurate reading. Due to the small sample size needed and its automatic operation, the VISCOpro 1600 helps to maximize the efficiency of your process line and minimize waste. Ultrasonic Transmitter And Receiver Set
This apparatus consists of a self-contained transmitter and receiver operating in the 40 kHz region. The transmitted wave is modulated at a user controlled variable frequency of about 2 kHz and this is detected by the receiver which amplifies the signal and drives a miniature integral loudspeaker. Both transmitter and receiver are contained in separate plastic enclosures measuring 175 x 100 x 40 mm which contain all the electronics and the 9 V batteries. The receiver has front panel 4mm sockets so that the output can be monitored on an oscilloscope for more quantitative measurements. The system is ideal for demonstrating sound waves above the hearing threshold and reflection properties associated with sonar etc. A special feature is the second transducer on the transmitter which can be switched on when required to produce two coherent sources. By moving the receiver along a line parallel to the two sources interference patterns can be dramatically demonstrated simplifying the Young’s slits experiment or enabling it to be demonstrated using waves other than light.
