Ticker Tape Timer
For the measurement of velocity and acceleration, using timing marks made on a moving paper tape by a vibrating striker.
Designed to operate on a 12V A.C. supply and uses the mains frequency as its timing standard.
The unit is housed in a moulded case including mounting flanges.
The top of the case caries a tape guide which incorporates a carbon paper disc support and an adjustable anvil for the striker point.
All moving parts are fully enclosed and a pair of 4mm sockets are provided on the side of the case for connection of the electrical supply.
Supplied with a roll of self marking paper tape.
Paper tape : 100m of paper tape, 9.5mm wide.
Carbon Paper Discs : 40mm diameter, with 3mm hole, cut from long life plastic film type carbon paper.

Description
Laser Reflection and Refraction Tank demonstrates the principle of reflection and refraction. The clear circular acrylic tank has a circular scale graduated on the white base of the tank, making it easy to measure angles. Adjust the pivot-arm mounted laser to any angle along its full 360° range and measure the angle of reflection or refraction. Bridge rectifier is designed with four LEDs internally arranged in bridge pattern fitted inside a plastic moulded case. Two LED’s are red and two LED’s are green. This device is used to demonstrate the functioning of a bridge rectifier, i.e., to convert alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC). Two yellow sockets are used for AC input. Two sockets, one red and one black, are used for DC output. For the easy understanding of the internal circuitry, the circuit diagram is printed on the box.

The Cross-Staff was used at sea from the beginning of the 16th century until the first half of the 18th century. It was used to measure the sun's altitude, especially at the meridian passage. With the knowledge of the sun's declination, the mariner could then obtain his latitude. The staff is original, with the inscription. The cross pieces are replicas. Different cross pieces were used depending on the altitude. A different scale is on each side of the staff.
