HVDC Transmission Line Simulator
The HVDC Transmission due to its advantages, like long distance transmission, interconnect different power systems (like 50Hz and 60Hz), more energy transmits than AC, less losses, make it essential for the students to study & understand the operation of HVDC. Vi Micro have introduced a trainer for this purpose “HVDC Transmission Line Simulator”
HVDC Transmission Line System consists of

• It consists of a 3Φ, 415V Variable AC source, 1.5 KVA step up transformer, a Multifunction Meter (To measure various electrical parameters of • Generating side or sending end) & a Miniature Circuit Breaker. • Earth Fault Relay is provided for protection against Earth Fault. • The module is covered with metallic enclosure and sticker represents the prime operation of the module. Moving Coil Multi Range Meter
Description
For DC & AC current and voltage. The operation of these meters depend on the reaction of the current circulating in the moving coil and a field of a fixed permanent magnet. Considering the operational nature and design of these instruments. the scale is linear. Since, the direction of the movement rotation depends on the direction of the current flow (polarity) in the circuit. Description
An economical and comprehensive set of equipment for ray optics and color experiments using magnetic-backed components that can be used on the whiteboard (included) or any installed steel (magnetic) board. Multi Stage Centrifugal Pump Test Setup
DESCRIPTION:
The Set-up is designed to study the performance of Multi Stage Centrifugal Pump. The Set-up consists of a Multi Stage Centrifugal Pump coupled with DC motor & drive, supply tank, measuring tank & pipe fittings for closed loop water circulation. There are 2 separate pumps connected to DC Motor and drive and can be connected in series and parallel to stimulate different combinations. Pressure and Vacuum Gauge are connected on delivery and suction side of each pump for the purpose of measurement. Swinging Field Dynamometer arrangement for direct torque measurement using dial type spring balance is made for individual pump. The flow rate of water is measured using measuring tank and stop watch provided.EXPERIMENTS:

Sonometer 3-Wire
Description :-
Hollow wooden sounding box 1290 x 130 x 110 mm, with mm scale, has two fixed bridges 72 cm apart over which wires are stretched.
To one wire is fitted a spring balance reading to 100 N x 5 N and its tension can be adjusted by a winged nut and measured.
Another wire passes over a pulley and can be loaded as desired.
A third wire, for comparison, can have its tension adjusted by a wrest-pin.
With 3 movable bridges, wrest-pin key, spring balance, and set of four wires of different diameters, each 1.5 meter long, without masses.

Static Dynamic Balancing Apparatus
This equipment is designed for carrying out the experiment for balancing a rotation mass system. The apparatus consists ofa stainless steel shaft fixed in a rectangular frame. A set of four blocks with a clamping arrangement is provided. For static balancing, each block is individually clamped on shaft and its relative weight is found out using cord and container system in terms of number of steel balls. For dynamic balancing, a moment polygon is drawn using relative weights and angular and axial position of blocks is determined. The block are clamped on shaft is rotated by a motor to check dynamic balance of the system. The system is provided with angular and longitudinal scales and is suspended with chains for dynamic balancing.
