St. Louis Motor Demonstration
Description
Students can explore how a simple electric motor works by doing a series of investigations. This St. Louis motor can be adjusted so students can study the effect of voltage and position of the brushes on the commutator. The motor consists of a two pole DC armature. The brush holder, with two heavy binding post terminals, can be rotated for experiments. The permanent bar magnets, supported by clamps, can be adjusted to the desired location. This apparatus requires 4 D cell batteries with holder (not included) or a power supply and two connecting leads (not included).

Description
Trans-Ratio is a simple transformer system that allows students to investigate the relationship between primary voltage, secondary voltage and the turns ratio. The Primary coil has tappings at 200, 400 and 600 turns while the Secondary has 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 turns all brought out to 4mm sockets. An AC supply of upto 6 V as well as AC voltmeters are required for demonstration purpose.
RF Telemetry
RF telemetry system consists of a radio frequency transmitter and matching radio frequency receiver both operating at 433 MHz. The system is designed for the radio frequency transmission and reception. The radio frequency transmitter sends out a variable audio signal and the radio frequency receiver with built in loud speaker receives the signal. Motorised Gyroscope Apparatus
The apparatus consists of a rotor mounted in bearings. This rotor is free to rotate about
(i) Its own axis i.e. axis of spin.
(ii) Axis of precession.
(iii) Axis of gyroscopic couple.
The rotor is connected to the variable speed motor. The weight of the motor is balanced by another weight, which is on either side of the rotor. By putting weights on the weight platform torque can be supplied to rotor, which is also called gyroscopic couple.

Force on a Conductor Balance
Description
To demonstrate that when a current is passed through a conductor in a magnetic field, it is subjected to attraction or repulsion depending upon the direction of current in it. The apparatus consists of a plastic base 160 x 140 mm on which two contact pillars are mounted. Each pillar is provided with an external circuit. A balanced beam is supported by the pillars on two bearings which form the fulcrum. Two screwed masses are provided in the beam system, one moving vertically for the adjustment of sensitivity and the other moving horizontally for the adjustment of the equilibrium position, when no current is flowing. Stefan Boltzmans Apparatus
The Stefan Boltzmann constant is an important constant in heat transfer. The apparatus determines Stefan Boltzmann constant. The apparatus consists of a hemisphere surrounded by hot water. Hot water is obtained from a water-heating tank. When the blackened disc is inserted at the center of hemisphere, heat is transferred into the disc from hemisphere by radiation and its temperature begins to rise, and from temperature raise rate. (It is measured at the intervals of 5 sec.) Stefan Boltzmann constant is determined.
