Critical Heat Flux Apparatus
The apparatus demonstrates the regimes of pool boiling. The test section consists of a test wire surrounded by water of constant temperature. The surface temperature of the test wire is heated by passing current through it. Due to the temperature difference between the wire surface and surroundings, the difference regimes are observed till the burnout point.
Specifications:

Cross Staff
Description
The Cross-Staff was used at sea from the beginning of the 16th century until the first half of the 18th century. It was used to measure the sun's altitude, especially at the meridian passage. With the knowledge of the sun's declination, the mariner could then obtain his latitude. The staff is original, with the inscription. The cross pieces are replicas. Demonstration Electric Motor
Description
A model of the simplest form of D.C. electric motor, having 2-pole armature wound with enamelled copper wire and a permanent magnetic field provided by a removable bar magnet. A disc-type commutator is incorporated and external connection to the phosphor-bronze bushes is by means of a pair of 4 mm. sockets. The motor will operates on 6-8 Volts D.C.

Coriollis Component Of Acceleration
This set up is designed to study coriollis component of Acceleration of a slider crank Mechanism. The apparatus uses hydraulic analogy to represent the rotating slider. It consists of a rotating block with two arms in opposite direction. These tubes can be rotated at various speeds by using a swinging field motor, which also acts as a dynamometer to measure torque applied to rotating tubes. A Perspex window on top cover helps to visualize the process. Rotameter is used to measure water flow rate through tubes. Water is circulated by small monoblaock pump.
