Rocks Collection
Description
A comprehensive collection of igneous , metamorphic and sedimentary rocks, in wooden box with partitioned tray containing 50 specimens, each nominally numbered and enclosed in a transparent plastics bag. Specimens may be removed from bags for detailed examination. Each specimen is labelled also on the inside of the box lid, indicating the geological name.
Hydraulic Ram Test Setup
DESCRIPTION:
The Set-up is designed to study the Hydraulic Ram. Hydraulic RAM is used for pump little quantity of water to high head from a large quantity of water available at low head. It works on a principle of water hammer stating that “When flowing water is suddenly stopped in a long pipe a pressure wave travels along the pipe creating an effect of water hammer”. The Set-up consists of a pipe section fitted with a pulse valve and non-return valve, a supply reservoir on a stand which is connected to an overhead tank, an air vessel above the valve chamber smoothes cyclic fluctuations from the Ram delivery. Different pressure may be applied to the pulse valve to change the closing pressure and hence the operating characteristic. The flow rate of useful and waste water is measured using measuring tank and stop watch provided. Pressure and Vacuum Gauge are connected on delivery and suction side for the purpose of measurement.EXPERIMENT:

Description
To demonstrate the discovery made by Newton that white light is composed of seven colors. Consisting of a pulley mounted on a metal stand, the seven colored disc is driven by gears connected to a hand driven wheel. When the colored disc rotates, the eye can’t distinguish between individual colors and perceive it as white color.
Dissolution Rate Test Apparatus
Description
Dissolution rate test apparatus is designed to carry out simultaneously SIX TESTS of dissolution rate of tablets & capsules as per USP standards. Dissolution Rate Test Apparatus consists of water bath made of transparent acrylic fitted with an inbuilt water circulation system. Machine has a DUAL TEMP. SENSOR system which controls both water bath temperature within +/- 0.1º C & senses the temperature of jars. The motor is digitally controlled to give speed between 20 to 160 RPM precisely within +/- 1 RPM. The micro-processor also have digital timer to control test timings from 00:01 to 99:59 (HH:MM). The machine is fitted with a LCD Display which keeps the user updated about the RPM, TIME & TEMPERATURE all the time. The unbreakable jars prevent accidents related to breakage & spilling of media in the lab. The jars have acrylic lids which allow passing of stirring shaft. Linear Expansion Apparatus
Consisting of a metal rod, 500mm in length and 4.5mm diameter, enclosed in a well lagged, nickle plated brass tube with three tubules for steam, inlet, outlet and thermometer.
The metal rod to be studied is supported in the steam jacket by detachable conical cups situated at each end of the tube.
The apparatus is carried on a heavy gauge channel base at one end of which is an adjusting screw.
At the opposite end is a micrometer screw reading to 0.01mm for measuring the expansion.
Supplied complete with copper, brass & iron rods but without thermometer.
