Air Conditioning Trainer Window Type
Window air conditioner is becoming now a day’s necessity. The unit demonstrates the application of window air conditioner & evaluation of its performance. It consists of a small room to which a small air conditioner is connected the room is provided with a transparent front cover with a heater inside to simulate heat load in the room. Various measurements are provided so that performance of system that is COP of system, actual & theoretical cooling capacity of system & power consumption of unit with different load conditions.
SPECIFICATIONS:
1.Compressor – Hermetically sealed, Kirloskar make, having the capacity of 1/10 ton of refrigeration using R-12 refrigerant to keep room temperature between 20 to 30 c. 2.Condenser – Finned tube type, with forced air flow over the tubes, 3.Capillary tube of matched length as expansion device. 4.Evaporator – Finned tube type with forced air flow, 5.Room – 0.6 X 0.7 X 0.7 m. height, provided with transparent front wall. A heater with input control is provided inside the room. Which simulates different load conditions. 6.Measurements and Controls a) H.P. / L.P. Pressure gauges b) Digital temperature indicator to measure the temperatures at various points. c) Energy meters to measure input to compressor & heater. d) High and low pressure cutout. e) Thermostat to put off the compressor at set room temperature. f) Necessary switch for electrical components.SERVICES REQUIRED:

RF Telemetry
RF telemetry system consists of a radio frequency transmitter and matching radio frequency receiver both operating at 433 MHz. The system is designed for the radio frequency transmission and reception. The radio frequency transmitter sends out a variable audio signal and the radio frequency receiver with built in loud speaker receives the signal. The system enables the teachers to demonstrate a variety of wave phenomenon. The system also enables the properties of the radio communications to be investigated and compared with those of visible light and other wave motions such as audible sound and water waves etc. For the operation of the system, a 9 V PP3 battery is required.

Anaerobic Culture Jar
Description
Transparent Anaerobic Culture Jar of 3.5.lit. capacity which is made of Polycarbonate. The lid of the jar is made of Aluminum pressure die Casting fitted with Pressure Valve, Vacuum Valve, Safety Valve & compound Pressure cum vacuum gauge, three finger aluminum clamp and sealing "O" ring. This is recommended only where inside air of jar is removed thru vacuum pump and CO2 is filled in the jar thru CO2 gas cylinder to generate anaerobic condition in the jar. Also supplied with plain aluminum pressure die casted lid which can be fitted when readymade gas packs are used to generate the anaerobic conditions inside the jar. When readymade gas packs are used, there is no need of lid fitted with dial gauge etc., for extra life of equipment.

Absolute Expansion Of Mercury Apparatus, Dulong & Petit
Description
To determine the co-efficient of absolute expansion of mercury. Glass tubes with vertical limbs contained within glass jackets approx. 460 x 25 mm height x diameter are closed by bungs and fitted with inlet and outlet tubes. Upper ends of these vertical limbs are angled on emergence from the jackets to produce two short, adjacent limbs placed against a silvered glass scale 0 to 12 cm x 1 mm. Mounted on stand 610 x 230 mm, height x width. Overall height 750 mm approx. supplied without mercury.

Objective:
To construct an optical transmitter and transmission of signal through Fiber Optics Cable. To construct an Optical Receiver and study the Attenuation of Signal when transmitted from Transmitter to Receiver end. Analog and Digital link can also be studied as this unit is complete with Sine and Square Waves. Bending losses can also be studied.
Features:
Instrument comprises of Microphone Preamplifier stages consists of MIC (Microphone), Preamplifier and Amplifier (Voice is converted to electrical signal and then amplified) and fed to LED (Transmitter) and then through fibre cable, signal is sent to Photodetector (Transistor) and again amplifier and output is sent to Speaker Unit. Power Supply of +6 VDC is used in Amplifier ckt. 2 No. Fiber Optics cables are provided (one of them is 50 cm long and the other is 100 cm long). One more fiber cable of 50mm length having connector at one end is also provided. Connectors a both end of fiber cable are provided for insertion in sockets provided on the front panel. Bending losses can also be studied in long wire.
Standard: MIC with 2 meter long lead and a Speaker 4, 4 ohm are mounted in a vertical box.
Accuracy: with 1 meter long connecting leads. 2 No. Fiber optic cable having length of 50 cm and 100 cm are provided.

Ticker Tape Timer
For the measurement of velocity and acceleration, using timing marks made on a moving paper tape by a vibrating striker.
Designed to operate on a 12V A.C. supply and uses the mains frequency as its timing standard.
The unit is housed in a moulded case including mounting flanges.
The top of the case caries a tape guide which incorporates a carbon paper disc support and an adjustable anvil for the striker point.
All moving parts are fully enclosed and a pair of 4mm sockets are provided on the side of the case for connection of the electrical supply.
