Pyrometer
Description
Fitted on a wooden base cast metal uprights and rod mountings. A 20-0-20 scale is provided to notice the expansion in rods. The counter weighted needle is used for easy reading. A knurling screw is provided for zero adjustment. Supplied with three metal rods one of each Aluminium, Brass and Steel.
Forced Convection Apparatus
The unit consists of a circular pipe; loosing heat by forced convection to air, being forced through it. Constant heat flux is added to pipe by an electrical heater, provided with input control. The pipe surface temperature is measured at various points along length of pipe. Temperature of air at inlet and outlet of test section are measured. Thus the students can calculate local and overall heat transfer coefficients in forced convection, at various airflow rates and various heat flux values.

Centrifugal Blower Test Rig
The apparatus consists of a spiral casing, which houses an impeller. Impeller is driven by a variable speed D.C. motor. Three, interchangeable impellers, viz. Radial forward and Backward curved vanes are provided with the unit. Digital indicators are provided for speed of impeller. A venture provided measures the discharge.
