Description
Two cast metal uprights, height 18 cm, fitted with two nickel plated rods supporting expansion bar of length 38 cm. Expansion bar is fixed to one upright and moves a pointer on the other, when heated With scale reading 0 to 90°, supplied with one each, aluminium, brass and iron expansion bars. Comprising two castmetal uprights linked by a pair of parallel plated metal support rods and supporting an expansion bar at the top. Supplied with expansion bars. Comprising two cast-iron uprights, height 18 cm linked by two nickel plated rods supporting on expansion bar, length 38 cm fixed to one upright and resting on a friction pointer placed at the other. Air Core Solenoid
Description
Air Core Solenoid helps investigate the magnetic field of a long coil. It can also used with the Current Balance as an accessory to measure the force on a conductor in a magnetic field. The solenoid has coils wound on a plastic tube with approximately 575 turns of copper wire. It can carry a current of 5 A continuously or 10 A intermittently.

Redundant Joint Apparatus
Apparatus consists of three suspension members (spring balances) of different stiffness, which are jointed at a point to form the redundant joint. The upper end of the suspension members being tied in a position to a vertical wooden board. Arrangement is provided to apply a vertical load at the joint and to measure its horizontal and vertical displacement on a paper and also elongations and forces in the suspension members by the help of dial gauges. Dial gauges with magnetic base are provided with the apparatus.

Linear Air Track
Angular section aluminium alloy track, length 255cms, with staggered air holes, supported on two light alloy castings positioned 45 cm from each end of the track.
One support has a two- point contact and other one-point contact for lateral and horizontal adjustments for which a knurled screw is provided.
Large catapult arms with slots for elastic bands are fitted to each end of the track.
A fully fitted to one end of the track enables experiments involving acceleration under a constant force.
Identical end caps enable air to be introduced from either end of the track, bung being supplied to close the end not being used.
The vehicle buffer attachments and clamping screws are matt black to help interpretation of stroboscopic photographs.

The Set-up is designed to study the performance of Multi Stage Centrifugal Pump. The Set-up consists of a Multi Stage Centrifugal Pump coupled with DC motor & drive, supply tank, measuring tank & pipe fittings for closed loop water circulation. There are 2 separate pumps connected to DC Motor and drive and can be connected in series and parallel to stimulate different combinations. Pressure and Vacuum Gauge are connected on delivery and suction side of each pump for the purpose of measurement. Swinging Field Dynamometer arrangement for direct torque measurement using dial type spring balance is made for individual pump. Centrifugal Blower Test Rig
The apparatus consists of a spiral casing, which houses an impeller. Impeller is driven by a variable speed D.C. motor. Three, interchangeable impellers, viz. Radial forward and Backward curved vanes are provided with the unit. Digital indicators are provided for speed of impeller. A venture provided measures the discharge. Thus students can evaluate the performance of different impellers at various speeds.
