Unsymmetrical Bending Apparatus
DESCRIPTION:
Apparatus consist of an angle of size 1” x 1” x 1/8” or in equivalent metric units of length 80cm is tied as a cantilever beam. The beam is fixed at one end such that the rotation of 450 intervals can be given and clamped such that the principal axis of its cross-section may be inclined at any angle with the horizontal and vertical planes. Also arrangement is provided to apply vertical load at the free end of the cantilever and to measure horizontal and vertical deflection of the free end. A dial gauge with magnetic base is supplied with the apparatus.EXPERIMENT MANUAL:

An anti-lock braking system (ABS) is a safety system that prevents the wheels on a motor vehicle from locking up (or ceasing to rotate) while braking. A rotating road wheel allows the driver to maintain steering control under heavy braking by preventing a skid and allowing the wheel to continue interacting tractively with the road surface as directed by driver steering inputs. ABS offers improved vehicle control and decreases stopping distances on dry and especially slippery surfaces for many drivers, but on loose surfaces like gravel and snow-on-pavement it can slightly increase braking distance, while still improving vehicle control. Stopping a car in a hurry on a slippery road can be very challenging. Anti-lock braking systems (ABS) take a lot of the challenge out of this sometimes nerve-wracking event. In fact, on slippery surfaces, even professional drivers can’t stop as quickly without ABS as an average driver can with ABS.
Bridge Rectifier
Bridge Rectifier is made of four diodes connected in a bridge circuit. It is housed in a plastic moulded box. This bridge rectifier converts alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC). It provides the same output polarity for either input polarity. All the electronic devices require direct current, so bridge rectifiers are used inside the power supplies of almost all electronic equipment. For the easy understanding of the internal circuitry, the circuit diagram is printed on the box.

Force on a Conductor Balance
Description
To demonstrate that when a current is passed through a conductor in a magnetic field, it is subjected to attraction or repulsion depending upon the direction of current in it. The apparatus consists of a plastic base 160 x 140 mm on which two contact pillars are mounted. Each pillar is provided with an external circuit. A balanced beam is supported by the pillars on two bearings which form the fulcrum. Two screwed masses are provided in the beam system, one moving vertically for the adjustment of sensitivity and the other moving horizontally for the adjustment of the equilibrium position, when no current is flowing. Critical Heat Flux Apparatus
The apparatus demonstrates the regimes of pool boiling. The test section consists of a test wire surrounded by water of constant temperature. The surface temperature of the test wire is heated by passing current through it. Due to the temperature difference between the wire surface and surroundings, the difference regimes are observed till the burnout point.
