Demonstration Gear Model System
Description
A series of models to demonstrate different gearing systems. With transparent slideplates, the gears may easily be seen and where necessary there is an index on the primary and secondary shafts to show the change in the direction of rotation and the relative speed of rotation. A simple three-speed and reverse-gear system using spur gears. Reverse gear is obtained by interposing a small lay-shaft mounted pinion between the two main shafts. Gear selection is by means of a short ball-ended lever.

Journal Bearing Apparatus
DESCRIPTION:
The apparatus consists of a plain steel shaft encased in a bearing and directly driven by a small electric motor. The bearing is freely supported on the shaft and sealed at motor end. The bearing contains twelve equi-spaced pressures tapping around circumference and four along the axis. Description

Curved Member Apparatus
Apparatus consists of a steel bar which is used to make the different curved members Viz. circle, semicircle with straight arm, a quadrant of a circle and quadrant of a circle with straight arm. The bottom ends of the members are fixed to the base. Under the application of load at free end, its horizontal and vertical deflection can be measured with the help of dial gauges. A dial gauge with 25mm travel (with a magnetic base) is supplied with the apparatus. Apparatus to be supplied should be complete with a supporting stand and a set of weights.
