Sonometer 3-Wire
Description :-
Hollow wooden sounding box 1290 x 130 x 110 mm, with mm scale, has two fixed bridges 72 cm apart over which wires are stretched.
To one wire is fitted a spring balance reading to 100 N x 5 N and its tension can be adjusted by a winged nut and measured.
Another wire passes over a pulley and can be loaded as desired.
A third wire, for comparison, can have its tension adjusted by a wrest-pin.
With 3 movable bridges, wrest-pin key, spring balance, and set of four wires of different diameters, each 1.5 meter long, without masses.
400W Smart Grid Experimental Setup
This consists of 2 Microgrid, one 400W& 200W of power generation connected to a main Power Grid with all the components needed to convert a traditional Grid to a Smart so that many experiments can be conducted on this “Smart Grid”. 3Φ, 1KW isolation transformer with power input from utility grid will act as main grid to which 2 Microgrid will be connected through synchronizing panel. Heat Pipe Apparatus:
Heat pipe is an interesting device, which is used to transfer heat from one location to another.
The apparatus consists of three pipes, viz. A heat pipe, copper pipe and stainless steel pipe. Ail the pipes have same physical dimensions. Copper and stainless steel pipes serve the purpose of comparison of heat pipe performance. All pipes are mounted vertically with a band heater at lower end and water filled heat sink at upper end. Nearly isothermal operation of heat pipe is clearly visualized from longitudinal temperature distribution of the pipe.
