Temperature Controlled by sensitive thermostats. Digital Tablet Disintegration Apparatus is designed for accurate estimation of disintegration time of tablets as per IP/USP standards. The instrument is designed to test to batches of six tablets, simultaneously. The unit consists of two beakers having capacity of 1000 cc each. In these beakers, suitable disintegration media can be taken. These can be temperature controlled using a in-built heater and a highly thermostat fitted inside the instrument. Description

The resistors can be connected to any of the desired circuits through the safety sockets provided on the top of the kit for each resistor separately. Accuracy ± 5% . Bridge rectifier is designed with four LEDs internally arranged in bridge pattern fitted inside a plastic moulded case. Two LED’s are red and two LED’s are green. This device is used to demonstrate the functioning of a bridge rectifier, i.e., to convert alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC). Two yellow sockets are used for AC input. Two sockets, one red and one black, are used for DC output. For the easy understanding of the internal circuitry, the circuit diagram is printed on the box.

Natural Convection Apparatus
The unit consists of a vertical brass pipe heated by a cartridge heater inside it. The pipe looses heat to atmosphere by natural convection. It is fitted in an enclosure to provide undisturbed natural convection currents. Thermocouples are attached on the pipe to measure local temperatures. Heater input is measured on voltmeter and ammeter. Thus students can determine overall heat transfer coefficient and local transfer coefficients in natural convection at various heat transfer rates.

DESCRIPTION:
Francis Turbine is a reaction Turbine, which was developed by English born American Engineer Sir J.B. Francis. The water enters the turbine through the outer periphery of the runner in the radial direction and leaves the runner in axial direction and hence it is called a mixed flow turbine. As the water flows to the runner, a part of pressure energy goes on changing into kinetic energy. Thus the water through the runner is under pressure. The runner is completely enclosed in an air tight casing and the casing & runner is always full of water. The present Set-up consists of a runner. The water is fed to the turbine by Means of centrifugal Pump, radially to the runner. The runner is directly mounted on one end of a central SS shaft and other end is connected to a brake arrangement. The circular window of the turbine casing is provided with a transparent. The circular window of the turbine casing is provided with a transparent acrylic sheet for observation of flow on to the runner. The runner assembly is supported by thick cast iron pedestal. Load is applied to the turbine with the help of brake arrangement so that the efficiency of the turbine can be calculated. A draught tube is fitted on the outlet of the turbine. The Set-up is complete with guide mechanism. Pressure and vacuum Gauge are fitted at the Inlet and Outlet of the turbine to measure the total supply head on the turbine.UTILITIES REQUIRED:
