Description
Vernier reading to 30 seconds of arc. The 175 mm diameter scale is fixed. The table and telescope movements are completely independent of each other and read to 30 seconds of arc by means of double ended verniers and magnifiers. Both rotations have fine adjustment screws. Coarse adjustments can also be made by release of clamping screw. Collimator is mounted on a fixed pillar and is fitted with 175 mm fl. achromatic objective with 32 mm clear aperture and a laterally adjustable slit 6 mm long. Telescope is mounted on a movable pillar fitted with 175 mm fl. achromatic objective of 32 mm clear aperture and x 10 Ramsden eye-piece with a glass cross line graticule. Both the telescope and collimator have rack and pinion focusing and can be adjusted for leveling the axes of both units as well as for adjusting to the axis of rotation. Prism table is marked with lines to assist prism placement and has three table leveling screws. It also has an interchangeable clamping unit for the prism and diffraction grating. Complete with prism clamp, diffraction grating holder and a Tommy bar for adjusting optical axis, In case.Crucible with Lid Low Form

Box Sextant With Leather
Description
Cylindrical brass sextant in leather case. The sextand has pull out eyepieces, silvered scale and vernier magnifier on a hinged arm. The brass cover screws onto the base as a handle. The leather case is embossed with a flower on both sides. The case has an attached cover which fastens with a strap. The inside of the case is lined with purple velvet like material. Maker's mark on sextand, embossed stamp on case.Clinometer Compass
Description
Clinometer Handle Compass is a reproduction of an antique Clinometer compass. The Handle Compass gets its name from its "handle" shaped sight, which actually serves two purposes With the compass level, an object can be viewed through the peep sights to determine its magnetic heading. The second and most interesting purpose is when tilting the compass on its side and viewing an object through the sights, its angle of elevation or declination can be found. A weighted pendulous arm beneath the compass needle can be read from one of three scales : Angle in degrees beneath the zenith (from straight up), angle in degrees of elevation or declination, and in inches per yard of slope. The compass has a needle lift mechanism to protect the compass jewel and the pendulous arm when being transported.Cylinderical Magnet

Kaplan Turbine Test Setup
DESCRIPTION:
Kaplan Turbine is an axial flow reaction Turbine named in honor of Dr. B. Kaplan, a Gennan Engineer. This turbine is suitable for low head. The power produced by a turbine is proportional to QH. As the head (H) decreases the J discharge (Q) must increase to produce the same power. The present Set-up consists of a scroll casing housing a runner. Water enters the turbine through the stationary guide vanes and passes through the runner axially. The runner has a hub and airfoil vanes, which are mounted on it. The water is fed to the turbine by means of Centrifugal Pump. The runner is directly mounted on one end of a central SS shaft and other end is connected to a brake arrangement. A transparent hollow cylinder made of acrylic is fitted in between the draught tube and the casing for observation of flow on to the airfoil vanes. This runner assembly is supported by thick cast iron pedestal. Load is applied to the turbine with the help of this brake arrangement so that the efficiency of the turbine can be calculated. The Set-up is supplied with control panel. A draught tube is fitted on the Outlet of the turbine. The Set-up is complete with guide mechanism. Pressure and Vacuum Gauge are fitted at the Inlet & Outlet of the turbine to measure the total supply head on the turbine.EXPERIMENT:

Vibration Lab Complete 11 Experiment
The VIBLAB is designed to help in conducting various experiments to illustrate and verify the principles and relations involved in the study of vibrations.
This apparatus enables a comprehensive range of Vibration Experiments to be conducted on single basic framework. The frame is robustly constructed from channel section. The experiments are specially designed for quick and easy assembly on to the framework using a minimum amount of common engineering tools. To reduce changeover time on tube more advanced free and forced vibration experiments, large knurled knobs are used to clamp components on the frame and many components are common to several experiments.
All of the referenced groups of experiments are available separately making it possible to procure them individually & if required to build up a complete set over a period of time.
Specifications:
1.Wide range of experiments. 2.Forced and Free Vibrations. 3.Damped and undamped vibrations. 4.Arrangements for variation of damping. 5.Sturdy storage cabinet. 6.Experiments easily assembled. 7.Covers experiments for undergraduate studies. 8.Scope for student projects.Features:
