Description :-
Transparent acrylic plastic ripple tank, supported in a sturdy plastic frame which has recesses to hold four legs with leveling feet.
The tank edges are shaped to minimize undesired reflections.
Tank has a drain hole closed by a rubber stopper.
With two light alloy uprights to carry a horizontal rippler support rod which is adjustable for height.
The ripple assembly, elastically suspended from the support rod, consists of a 4 – 6 V DC motor mounted on a wooden beam.
The motor has an eccentric weight which causes the beam to oscillate.
Two point sources are provided by two plastic spheres, each mounted on a right angle rod.
A metal rod is fixed centrally into a socket in one short side of the frame to afford support to the illuminant.
Overall size of the tank 580 x 500 x 80 mm, window area 370 x 280 mm, height of tank above bench level (with legs attached) approx. 375 mm.

DESCRIPTION:-
The Set-up is designed to verify Reynold’s Apparatus experimentally. The Apparatus consists of a glass tube which one end having bell mouth entrance connected to a water tank. At the other end of the glass tube a cock is provided to vary the rate of flow. Flow rate of water can be measured with the help of Measuring Cylinder and Stop Watch, supplied with the set-up. A capillary tube is introduced centrally in the bell mouth. To this tube dye is fed from a small container, placed at the top of Constant head Tank, through polythene tubing.EXPERIMENTS:-

Critical Heat Flux Apparatus
The apparatus demonstrates the regimes of pool boiling. The test section consists of a test wire surrounded by water of constant temperature. The surface temperature of the test wire is heated by passing current through it. Due to the temperature difference between the wire surface and surroundings, the difference regimes are observed till the burnout point.

BOD Incubator
Specification
BOD Incubator is designed for low temperature incubation and determination of Bio Chemical Oxygen Demand (B.O.D). The BOD Incubator comes with a double wall construction. The Inner chamber is made of richly anodized aluminum or highly polished stainless steel with two / three removable perforated shelves. The exterior chamber of the BOD Incubator is made of thick mild steel sheet duly finished in enamel paint. Outer double wall door is provided with magnetic gasket and lock & key arrangement. The inner door is made out of clear acrylic sheet allowing inspection of material in the chamber without disturbing the chamber temperature. Door operated inner illumination has been provided. The gap between walls of equipment are filled with glass wool for temperature insulation. The cabinet is mounted on castors. The temperature in the BOD Incubator is controlled by a sensitive thermostat from 5oC to 50oC ± 1oC. For lower temperature working, a standard cooling unit with sealed compressor with protective devices has been provided below the chamber for safe and efficient working. Heating arrangement has made within the chamber for higher temperature. DESCRIPTION:
The two hinged arch is a statically indeterminate structure of the first degree. The horizontal thrust is the redundant reaction and is obtained y the use of strain energy methods. Two hinged arch is made determinate by treating it as a simply supported curved beam and horizontal thrust as a redundant reaction.EXPERIMENT:
• To study experimentally a two hinged arch for the horizontal displacement of the roller end for a given system of loading and to compare the same with those obtained analytically. • To obtain the influence line ordinates for horizontal thrust experimentally in a two hinged arch by moving a load along the span and to compare the same with those obtained theoretically.TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION:
• Apparatus has a span of 100cm and rise 25cm. • Both ends should have hinge but one of the ends should also be free to move longitudinally. • A lever arrangement fitted at this end for the application of known horizontal inward force for measuring the horizontal thrust. Along the horizontal span of the arch various points are marked at equidistant for the application of load. • This being a statically indeterminate structure of the first degree. • A dial gauge with 25mm travel (with magnetic base) is to be supplied with the apparatus. • Mild steel apparatus complete with a supporting stand and a set of weights.
