Elastic Properties Of Deflected Beam Apparatus
Apparatus consists of a mild steel beam 2.5cm x 3mm in cross section and 100cm long, pinned to two supports 70cm apart situated symmetrically. One of the ends can be fixed or given a known slope by applying a known moment at the end with the help of suspended loads. At the other end also a known moment can be applied. Vertical loads can be applied at various points along the span of the beam. A dial gauge with 25mm travel (with a magnetic base) may be supplied with the apparatus. Apparatus to be supplied should be complete with a supporting stand and a set of weights

Expansion bar is fixed to one upright and moves a pointer on the other, when heated With scale reading 0 to 90°, supplied with one each, aluminium, brass and iron expansion bars. Comprising two castmetal uprights linked by a pair of parallel plated metal support rods and supporting an expansion bar at the top. Supplied with expansion bars. Ensuring durability during performance, this machine is made of mild steel and cast iron and comes with one Lid and a Pan.
This unit is used with up to 7 sieves of 150mm or 200mm (8 Inch) sieves and up to 6 sieves of 300 mm (12 Inch).
Heavy duty motor (1/4 HP) ensures the whole performance through a reduction gear immersed in oil.
Along with featuring gyratory motion, this units also performs upward and downward movement ensuring that each "square cm" of the sieve is fully utilized.

Electric Motor St. Louis
Description
The motor consists of a two pole armature mounted between the ends of two bar magnets. The armature has a two section commutator and a pair of slip-rings on its shaft and is so constructed that the wire cannot slip off the iron core. The upper bearing and brushes for the commutator are mounted on a strong upright. Separate brushes are provided for the commutator and for slip rings and each are connected to a terminal. The magnets are held in position by thumb screws.
