Laser Reflection and Refraction Tank
Description
Laser Reflection and Refraction Tank demonstrates the principle of reflection and refraction. The clear circular acrylic tank has a circular scale graduated on the white base of the tank, making it easy to measure angles. Adjust the pivot-arm mounted laser to any angle along its full 360° range and measure the angle of reflection or refraction. Rotate the laser and observe first a reflected ray, then both a reflected and refracted ray, and finally just a refracted ray. Leveling screws on the tank’s base make leveling quick and easy. The laser is attached to the pivot-arm by a magnet and can be removed for use in other experiments. Instructions included.

Primary and Secondary Coil
Description
The apparatus demonstrates the principle of Electromagnetic Induction and helps explain the concept of a transformer. Primary and Secondary coil consist of coils mounted on plastic spools, with 2 binding posts on each coil. You can slide the primary coil inside the secondary coil. Also includes a soft iron core for induction experiments. Primary coil has 480 turns while secondary coil has 3800 turns. Requires a galvanometer and bar magnets, not supplied with apparatus.

BOD Incubator
Specification
BOD Incubator is designed for low temperature incubation and determination of Bio Chemical Oxygen Demand (B.O.D). The BOD Incubator comes with a double wall construction. The Inner chamber is made of richly anodized aluminum or highly polished stainless steel with two / three removable perforated shelves. The exterior chamber of the BOD Incubator is made of thick mild steel sheet duly finished in enamel paint. Outer double wall door is provided with magnetic gasket and lock & key arrangement. The inner door is made out of clear acrylic sheet allowing inspection of material in the chamber without disturbing the chamber temperature. Door operated inner illumination has been provided. The gap between walls of equipment are filled with glass wool for temperature insulation. The cabinet is mounted on castors. The temperature in the BOD Incubator is controlled by a sensitive thermostat from 5oC to 50oC ± 1oC. For lower temperature working, a standard cooling unit with sealed compressor with protective devices has been provided below the chamber for safe and efficient working. Heating arrangement has made within the chamber for higher temperature. Natural Convection Apparatus
The unit consists of a vertical brass pipe heated by a cartridge heater inside it. The pipe looses heat to atmosphere by natural convection. It is fitted in an enclosure to provide undisturbed natural convection currents. Thermocouples are attached on the pipe to measure local temperatures. Heater input is measured on voltmeter and ammeter. Thus students can determine overall heat transfer coefficient and local transfer coefficients in natural convection at various heat transfer rates.

St. Louis Motor Demonstration
Description
Students can explore how a simple electric motor works by doing a series of investigations. This St. Louis motor can be adjusted so students can study the effect of voltage and position of the brushes on the commutator. The motor consists of a two pole DC armature. The brush holder, with two heavy binding post terminals, can be rotated for experiments. The permanent bar magnets, supported by clamps, can be adjusted to the desired location. This apparatus requires 4 D cell batteries with holder (not included) or a power supply and two connecting leads (not included).

Description
