Discharge Over Notches Apparatus
DESCRIPTION:-
The Lab setup consists of a channel having sufficient length and width in which water is supplied from the bottom. Required Notch is fitted at one end of this channel .A hook gauge with Vernier scale is fitted to measure the height of fluid in flow channel. Arrangement for fixing interchangeable notches is made. Set of three brass notches, i.e. rectangular notch. 60 V notch & 45 V notch provided along with the set up. Present set – up is self –contained water re- circulating unit .provided with a sump tank and a centrifugal pump etc. Flow control valve and by-pass value are fitted in water line to conduct the experiment on different flow rate .Flow rate of water is measured with the help of measuring tank and stopwatch.EXPERIMENTS:-

2 Axis Robotic-MatlabTrainer
This Robo Trainer is working along with Matlab. Two axisrobo consists of two AC Servo Motors which are made to rotate using PWM pulse output of the controller. Two rotational encoders are present to determine shaft position of the motors. One AC Motor is used to rotate the handle from 0 to 360°, and the other is to move the handle up and down which can cover a distance of 450 mm. Pneumatics ARM is used for the application of pick and place of an object.

Rocking Microtome
Description
A sectioning equipment, economical and simple, yet providing all facilities of a standard rotary microtome. The internal mechanism is fully enclosed in a sturdy metal case, for protection against dust and grit & is driven by a handle which can be locked in position. A ball & socket type movement permits use of the entire knife edge. With a feed range of 1 to 25 microns in steps of 1 micron. Supplied complete with a set of three object holders, one razor 120 mm with back and handle, one honing plate, one bottle of oil for lubrication, dust cover and wooden cabinet.

Description
Apparatus is designed primarily for demonstration of the basic principles of transformers. It consists of a laminated U-core with laminated I-core, both with 32 x 25 mm cross section to form a closed core of size 102 x 127 mm. Heat Pipe Apparatus:
Heat pipe is an interesting device, which is used to transfer heat from one location to another.
The apparatus consists of three pipes, viz. A heat pipe, copper pipe and stainless steel pipe. Ail the pipes have same physical dimensions. Copper and stainless steel pipes serve the purpose of comparison of heat pipe performance. All pipes are mounted vertically with a band heater at lower end and water filled heat sink at upper end. Nearly isothermal operation of heat pipe is clearly visualized from longitudinal temperature distribution of the pipe.

Specifications
Water stills are carefully designed to produce high purity pyrogen free distilled water. The water still made from 3.3 exp. borosilicate glass comprises of horizontal type boiler, condenser, constant level device, silica sheathed heater, along with stand and clamps.Features
Borosilicate condenser and boiler are with a removable silica sheathed heater and screw threaded connectors for ease of Cleaning. Distillate temperature is approx. between 25° to 45°C which is ensured by an efficient condenser. The stand is powder coated for rust free operation and lustrous appearance. The unit automatically switches off if water level in the boiler falls below heater. Cooling water from the condenser is re-circulated into the boiling chamber, hence saving energy. Shell Tube Heat Exchanger Water To Water
Heat exchanger is the devices used to transfer the heat from one fluid to other. The shell and tube heat exchanger is two tube single pass heat exchanger. The hot fluid is hot water obtained from water heater. The coil fluid is cold water. The schematic flow arrangement is shown in figure. Hot water enters the lower side of end box, flows through the tubes in lower half of shell and comes to the other end of the shell. It reverses its direction, flows through tubes in upper half of the shell and leaves out. Cold water enters lower part of the shell passes over the tubes between the baffles and leaves out the shell through outlet at upper surface of shell.
