The model is a simulative right half of adult torso with right arm. There are apparent anatomical marks: clavicle suprasternal notch, stenocleidomastoid muscle, pectoralis major muscle, ribs and deltoid muscle. Lifelike veins: Superior vena cava, internal jugular vein, subclavical vein, cephalic vein, basilic vein and median cubital vein etc. With apparent anatomical marks, the model can be used to train puncture and catheterization of internal carotid vein, subclavical vein, cephalic vein and heart catheterization. Description
Apparatus is fitted on heavy channel base, at one end of which is an adjusting screw, at the opposite end is a micrometer screw reading to 0.01 mm for measuring the expansion. Supplied with one each of aluminium, brass and iron expansion rods but WITHOUT thermometer. Apparatus consists of sturdy base frame and Channel, Equal angle, Semicircle and Z-Section are supplied with apparatus. Standard length of each of the four sections in M. S. is supplied. Each is provided with end clamp for fixing to the rigid bracket. A special load hanger is provided so as to change the load position so that with the help of two dial-gauges, the vertical plane of Shear-centre for the particular section can be determined.
