Digital Colorimeter
Description
The basic set-up of the colorimeter is: LED light source: Produces polychromatic light over the entire visible region, 45 Broad spectrum filter: The colorwheel has nine different filters. The filter employed is selected by wavelength. Each filter will produce monochromatic light at a specified peak wavelength with a bandpass of 20 mm. The filters enable the user to perform tests from 400 to 680 nm. Cuvette Holder: It holds the inserted cuvette during testing. It is imperative the cuvette be consistently oriented in the holder. Round cells usually have orientation markings to correctly position the cuvette. Detector: A silicon photo diode is used as the detector. The photo detector current will change as a function of light energy. Display:The current signal from the detector is converted to a numerical value, absorbance and is shown on led displaySignal Generator
1 Hz to 100 KHz in five decade ranges selected by rotary switch named as frequency Multiplier. Sine Triangular and Square waveforms selected by push switch with LED indication. Output signal is 0-3.5 V rms (10 V peak to peak) open circuit continuously control with uncalibrated amplitude control knob. Mains rocker switch with indicator Light. Signal Generator is versatile for general laboratory use; output signal is adjustable with the combination of Freq. multiplier and set frequency dial with a low level of distortion. Output Voltage is continuously variable with selector range 1V and 10V. There is two pair of output safety sockets. One for CRO output (experiment for amplification, filter etc.) and another pair of sockets to speaker to drive a speaker and to demonstrate the audio signal frequency range 20 Hz to 20 KHz.

Thermal Conductivity Of Liquid
Thermal conductivity of is an important engineering property. The apparatus uses guarded hot plate method for determining thermal conductivity. It consists of hot plate i.e. an electrical heater sandwiched between two plates. The heat loss from hot plate is prevented by using two guard heaters and heat of removes heat from liquid by circulation of water. Input to heaters the temperatures.

The apparatus consists of a pair of M.S. plates, Bakelite, brass/aluminum. These plates in series on either side of the heater form a composite wall. The whole unit is clamped in a frame, which can be viewed through the Perspex sheet. The thermocouple tapings enables us to find out the conductivity and resistance of the composite walls.

Open Wind Tunnel Apparatus
Technical Description
A wind tunnel is the classic experiment system for aerodynamic flow experiments. The model being studied remains at rest while the flow medium is set in motion, and thus the desired flow around the model is generated. Open wind tunnel used to demonstrate and measure the aerodynamic properties of various models. For this purpose, air is drawn in from the environment and accelerated. The air flows around a model, such as an aerofoil, in a measuring section. The air is then decelerated in a diffuser and pumped back into the open by a fan. The carefully designed nozzle contour and a flow straightener ensure a uniform velocity distribution with little turbulence in the closed measuring section. The flow cross section of the measuring section is square. The built-in axial fan with guide vane and a variable-speed drive is characterised by an energy-efficient operation at high efficiency. Air velocities of up to 28m/s can be reached in this open wind tunnel. The trainer is equipped with an electronic two-component force sensor.Lift and drag are detected and displayed digitally. The air velocity in the measuring section is displayed on the inclined tube manometer. The tube manometers is recommended for measuring the pressure curves in drag bodies. Extensive accessories allow a variety of experiments, for example lift measurements, pressure distributions, boundary layer analysis or visualisation of streamlines.
